So earlier this week I signed up to become an Amazon Associate and I am super excited about this opportunity! With tons of product categories and hundreds of thousands of regular, returning customers, I can’t go wrong. I mean, who doesn’t shop on Amazon?!
Joining and signing up was relatively easy. You will need to submit information on your platform that you will use to promote their products. You will also need to pay close attention to their advertisement policies, as I hear Amazon is quick to ban you from the associates program, even for simple mistakes or misunderstandings related to affiliate promotions. So make sure you read carefully.
Amazon has a great resource page that will guide you on how to market with websites, blogs, and even social media. Once you have joined, you will be able to access their Amazon Associates Blog for updates and connection to other associates. There are also plenty of books and Youtube videos to guide you to success. All you have to do, is get started!
As an affiliate marketer, I believe in multiple income streams. As a customer, I love Amazon, but as an Affiliate, I know not to put all my eggs in one basket. All affiliate programs or companies have their shortcomings and limitations. So you must choose your products and programs wisely. Amazon Associates program is just one avenue to help me achieve my dream of generating income from home.
